Lady in orange

This is a little fun one done off the cuff, no reference photo. A bathing beauty with her striped bag and bottle of sun tan lotion sat on the promenade. A nice practise piece with oils and I am gradually getting to know them but not sure I will love them as much as coloured pencil. Size 12x18cm, oil on canvas. Can't think of a suitable title at the moment.

Fabulous Pauline! A lovely witty piece of work. I always like your colours, so effective. I've never tried oils but you're getting good results with them :)

Thanks Janet, I am getting quite keen on oils. I did have a try at some fur without success so I think I may stick with people and landscape. I am using a limited palette (2 yellow, 2 blue, 2 red, a green and orange) which helps me keep control of the colour mixing.
