Windows

Something completely different.  Pastel pencils on pastelmat size is a narrow A5 and it took just 30 minutes, sooooo much quicker than coloured pencils.  Must get some more fixative this ended up with blobs so had to have a quick rework.  The woodwork looks slightly more weathered now.

If using Pastelmat or Fisher 400 (more robust supports) you can always 'steam' your pastels to fix them - just hold over kettle/pan of boiling water for a few seconds.

Cheaper and just as effective - I think it has less effect on the colour too!

Great colours Pauline. I see you are getting back into painting again very quickly!

I have never heard of steaming for fixing either, I will be trying that. I really don't like spraying my work with fixative.
